Watching Video at High Speed Without Audio Distortion

Some video sites have controls to increase video playback speed for easier binge'ing or just fastforwarding over boring portions.
This could come in 2 flavours:
Simple playback speed increase with speech turning "chipmunk", i.e. becoming distorted into high pitch gibberish.
Time stretched playback where pitch is retained! I.e. speech sounds normal and just as easy to understand.
The latter is most desirable! and is known as audio time stretching according to Wikipedia.
This feature is also available in Media Player Classic (MPC-HC) such as the one distributed in the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.
Enabling Time Stretching in MPC-HC
Basically, you need to select "SaneAR Audio Renderer" as your audio renderer.
In menu: select: View menu> Options
In left panel of Options popup: Select Playback > Output
In Audio Renderer section, open the dropdown list box and select "SaneAR Audio Renderer".
Click OK to save the new settings.
Changing Playback Speed
The default is 2x increase and so forth. As 2x is a little too fast, it's best to change the increment in MPC-HC's .INI configuration file.
Set: SpeedStep=25
The above value is in percent.
E.g. 25% means pressing CTRL-UP once increases to 1.25x playback speed, another press of CTRL-UP goes to 1.5x, and so forth.
Hotkeys by default are:
CTRL-UP (arrow) to increase playback speed
CTRL-Down (arrow) to decrease playback speed
CTRL-R to reset playback speed (i.e. to 1.0)
Have Fun =D
