Spyra One Spews Gunk =O

Haven't used my Spyra One water gun for ages, so took it out for a spin and it started spewing brown, dirty water!

On further inspection, it turns out to to algae or moss!!

How in the world does moss thrive in the deep, dark recess of the Spyra water tank, seemingly without any sunlight!?

Tip: Hence, Spyra One owners when first taking Spyra out after a long hiatus from storage:

  1. Do Not use an old Spyra immediately! Clean it first! Otherwise your first human targets are going to get unwelcome gunk shots in their faces!

  2. Also: do Not tilt it downwards to your favourite sofa, your feet, etc., as it may start leaking yucky gunk right away! Do that only when you're ready to clean up the muck.

To drain the water, you seem to have to drain the tank. Then push the trigger button forward and it will puke its tank out - though there always seem to still be some water remaining within - shake it and you'll hear the water sloshing within. Repeat 'puking' several times to purge as much as possible.

And don't forget that Spyra shots are very powerful, so do Not shoot into toilet bowl - it will splash! and send dirty sewage exploding!

-> Immerse in a pail of water instead to suck and shoot XD Repeat till Spyra One shoots relatively clean LOL =D

Spyra One Quick Usage Guide

  • Push trigger to suck in water. Trigger will be stuck in forward position until you pull it back to reset position. Preferably tilt Spyra One in the water at 45 degrees angle.

    • Display should show the percentage of water available going up.

    • It actually pukes a little before sucking - When tank is low, push trigger without dipping in water to Spyra One puke its guts. This is good for cleanup for storage.

  • Pull to shoot.

  • Power button is below, tap to power on/off.

Afterword

Alright, this post has nothing to do with Lego yet. It's just about other fun things - water fights! Or at least its awesome weaponry!

Perhaps we can build a Lego target board... and rig it up to Mindstorms to automatically collate the score like in Olympics =) Has anyone built one before?
